  My husband I have stayed 2 nights at the Port View Guesthouse in Marsaxlokk. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The Guesthouse just opened up not to long ago, so we must have been one of the first guests in that room, actually one of the first ones at all. The rooms were spottless.   This was a great place to stay. I was recommended Palazzo Citta Valletta by a friend who had stayed there a couple of years ago. We stayed in the Garden Suite on the ground floor which opens out onto the Pallazzo's courtyard where you can dine outside if you to use your self catering facilities.   I stayed at the Sally Port self- catering apartments for 5 nights. I wanted somewhere quiet yet close to Valetta and its tourist attractions. The Sally Port Apartments in Senglea were a perfect choice for me. There are a no. of very good local restaurents close by on the Senglea waterfront. Travel to Valetta i - We stayed for three nights at Sally Port Senglea and would have wished to stay longer.   It's a lovely place, with lots of space, several bathrooms and toilets, lots of towels, bedside lamps that made reading in bed a delight (and comfy beds). Beatiful terrace with a nice pool (a bit cold during our stay). It is a short walk into Xaghra centre where there are food shops (at least one of which will deliver food), restaurants. Easy to park your car on the street, but I think that there is also a garage space - The farmhouse was spacious,comfortable and very well equipped with private pool and sunbeds. Monica was most helpful with booking trips, taxis and any other queries (although the square is only a ten minute walk). The starter food pack was so welcome on arrival off a late flight. We (four ladies) loved this spacious accommodation but it would also be ideal for a family.
