  Hotel Santana was so much better than we had expected, it is a delightful 4 star hotel right beside the bugibba bus terminal where you can take a bus to anywhere on the island, the staff are extremely friendly and willing to assist you with any queries or questions you may have, always smiling and cheerful.   The price of this hotel and spa was amazing and the location couldn't be better, only a two second walk to the water. The spa was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier with the staff.   The staff were friendly and helpful, also at this time of year there are quite a few 'more mature' people staying for 4 - 6 week breaks and they were welcoming too. We paid extra for a sea view and it was well worth it; we enjoyed watching the waves and the lights reflected in the sea at night. The location is excellent.   The hotel was lovely...great food at good prices. It was close to all you could want. I liked being able to make use of all pools and walk through to the water front. We got a water taxi from there to the blue lagoon for the day and dropped back..very handy. We booked for 3 nights and used the island as a base to explore Gozo on one day and also make a trip to Mdina in Malta one day. Overall the boats are frequent as various companies are available.
