I loved it. The whole staff made me feel as I was part of the family. It looks like a family run business. They cooked breakfast for me everyday and they took it to my room free of charge. Lovely staff. Facilities are good, bear in mind that it is a simple hotel, not a 5 star, but has everything you need if you are on holidays. We enjoyed the very nice and quiet village Marsaxlokk with perfect communication by bus if we wanted to visit other places on the island.
We are looking forward to our next visit to Marsaxlokk and Duncan Holiday Accomodation! -
Michael, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming and looked after us very well. Our room was very spacious and well equipped. Marsaxlokk is a great place to stay - pretty and quiet with lots of choice of restaurants.

The building is unique and interesting - nothing boring here, but not too much either. The welcome was just right - the hosts are friendly and hospitable, but not intrusive. They were helpful, kind and accommodating. Everything in the guest house felt well cared-for and clean, and it was exactly what I was looking for.

This is my second time at Bla Dorren, and it has been just right once again! The beautiful building is decorated simply which enhances the beauty of the high ceilings and tile floors and the abundant light from outside. Breakfast is fresh and abundant. The location has been quite convenient, near the bay, near the bus, plenty of dining, and many places to walk. The hosts are kind and attentive, but never intrude.

I was there for a week and I really liked the relaxed atmosphere, met some really nice people there too.
The beds are comfortable, there is a kitchen to cook in and a nice living room and garden to hang out together.
Penny, the hostess, is welcoming and makes a tasty breakfast :)

The Hotel is situated perfectly for the shops bars restaurants and the main bus station,set in a quiet cul-de-sac,there is no noise from through traffic,although early morning deliveries and the bin men make a bit of noise,but this didn't really bother us too much.

The rooms are spacious and clean, all have a little balcony, the facilities are good (toiletries, hair dryer, fridge, safe) the pool area is lovely, the views over the town are nice. Staff were very accommodating, both in terms of the stay in the hostel itself and giving us advice on how to get around Malta. The location is excellent, a short walk from Sliema, St Julien's and Paceville, while the bus stop is just 50m away. There is a small general store across the road. Hostel has free internet, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as an extensive kitchen. It was easy to meet fellow hostelers too, and there was a good friendly spirit around the building.
