La Vallette is beautifully situated in the middle of the city, close to the cultural and history-filled streets.The flat is modern, spacious and comfortable with a sea view. The roof top terrace is also an attractive place to chill out in the evenings. It is the ideal place to stay for people wishing to explore the city and at the same time be within easy reach of the ferries and buses to explore the island. La Vallette was a really very successful choice of ours. We were very much pleased with its location - very near the main sights and famous restaurants. It's also very comfortable to get to the bus station from the hotel and travel about the island. Our flat with the sea view was very comfortable and homey. Our children were happy to get toy horses as a present and on the whole I should say our emotions during the holiday were extremely positive.
The location, very reasonably priced. Although the exterior was traditional the interior was modern with good air-con and excellent wi-fi. Communal stair well lit and a modern, efficient lift. Roof terrace very nice. Wayne's (the manager) grandad was lovely, giving us the keys and fixing a minor plumbing problem. The taxi to the airport was much appreciated, the driver was very friendly and knowledgable about Maltese culture.
everything was perfect, there even is a free airport transfer.
The view and the light.
Impractical bathroom fixtures. Impossible to move in the bath without dislodging the plug. Shower attachment not powerful enough to rinse shampoo from hair. Impractically shaped wash-hand basin (huge trough).
We were promised a 4th floor appartment with sea view from the very beginning but had to stay the two first nights in an appartment without sea view.
