IL-GIRNA Residence is a Guest House with 5***** Attitude and Service Marie, the owner, with her warm freindly personality, couldn't do enough for her guests. She made you feel like it was your home too. Room cleaned daily, towels changed daily, Bed sheets changed every 2 days. Fridge Freezer on each floor for Guest use. The whole ethos of the place is quiet and relaxing, the outdoor pool is cleaned daily. Marie will do her best to order anything her customer needs, bike's, car hire, boat trips.

One has the possibility of going for a walk with breathtaking views of the countryside or else head towards Ta' Cenc cliffs, both of which are advisable to wear comfortable footwear. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and kids are made to feel at home. We had two rooms, both spacious and immaculately clean but one of them needed some minor repairs. Given the fact that we were only staying for 1 night we didn't. A quaint residence in the peaceful village of Sannat which I gladly choose often when I go to Gozo. Staff is extremely hospitable & helpful, especially Maria the landlady. She makes you feel very at home. Facilities & comfort are great at the residence. Breakfast is a delight with fresh Gozitan goat's milk cheeselets among other fresh food! The residence is a few minutes away from a nice walk along a Gozitan natural highlight, Ta' Cenc cliffs. Views of the countryside, villages and sea . The best value for money at our Malta holiday. Very friendly atmosphere and lovely hosts. We felt like in our mother´s house. Big room and comfortable bathroom. The continental brekfast was nice, a lot of fruits was offered. If you have a car there is no problem to be in 20 minutes on the oposite side of Gozo island. Without a car it can be a little bit tricky to reach the final destination there. The hospitality and helpfulness of Maria and her family made our stay very pleasant at Il Girna. Breakfast and pool were also great, the public transport links to Victoria are also good. The nature and scenery around the residence is also breathtaking, we would definitely recommend some walks or runs around the area! Mid October was a great time to visit. Will definitely return!. We enjoyed very much stay at this hotel. The owner is so nice, helpfull lady and look after every your needs.All staff very friendly as well. Rooms are big, very comfortable in lovely style with beautiful view. Breakfast very nice in different selection of food-Bufet.Also we enjoying the lovely swimmingpool beside hotel -very clean and large size.We will back:). The owners are lovely and looked after us all trip. They advised us where to go and how to get there and sometimes even gave us a lift. We ate in their restaurant every night as the food was so delicious and we even joined the owners for a free drink to celebrate my birthday. The Il Girna was the highlight of my visit to Malta. Teddy And Maria make you feel right at home the minute you walk in the door. The rooms are clean and spacious and is located in a quiet and rural part of the gorgeous island of Gozo. Well worth the effort to get there!. we were given a lovely room and service was personal/ most impressed by the bowl of fresh prickly pears served to me at breakfast after I had mentioned that they were my favourite fruit on checkin in. we a shall certainly be recommending il-girna and going back. Perfect location in a quite and nice rural town in Gozo. Ideal for people who is looking for relax and leave the daily routine. Abundant breakfast with lots of fruits, cereals and cheese. We loved also the pool! Really friendly staff. Couldn't find any negative points about the acomodation. The tranquility of the Island flies out of window when you try to get through Victoria. It is a beautifull city, well worth looking round, but if you need to get to other side of the Island, then Victoria needs a ring road. No TV in the room, No lift, No air conditioning (fan only) which can result in very cold rooms in winter unless gas heaters are provided. Some pillows tend to be somewhat uncomfortable as they are quite hard and take some getting used to, to sleep on. WIFI connection is only available in the lobby downstairs. Tea & Coffee making facilities are at the discretion of the host. Certain rooms are not soundproof from one and another. But you don't actually care when the overall impression of the residence is a very positive one!. No soap in the bathroom, weak (almost no) internet in the room (1st floor).Nothing. I liked everything about Il-Girna. only spent one night. would have liked to stayed longer. :).
